OpenAI seeks an experienced AI Product Counsel to shape how frontier AI moves from research to products deployed worldwide. You will partner with product teams on models and experiences, including consumer and workplace offerings and verticals in regulated spaces.

This role is based in San Francisco or Washington, D.C., with a hybrid schedule (three days in-office). Remote candidates will be considered, and relocation assistance is provided.

• 8+ years of experience in in-house or technology-focused legal roles.
• Practical, principled approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively.
• Strong ownership mindset and curiosity about technology.
• Sound judgment in ambiguous situations and risk-balanced decision making.
• JD and license to practice in California.
