Job summary

WEX, Inc. is actively seeking a Senior AI Product Manager Builder to join a forward-deployed Builder Pod in a hands-on, prototyping-driven role. You will work with an AI Tech Builder and domain experts to transform manual workflows into governed, agent-assisted experiences.

You will own the problem statement, user outcomes, business value, agent behavior, and evaluation strategy, while your Tech Builder partner handles the engineering architecture and scalability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of PM experience shipping software, data, or AI products to production at scale.
• Direct experience with generative AI, LLMs, retrieval/grounding, tool calling, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Experience running AI evaluations using gold datasets and rubrics.
• Prototyping with AI tools and low-code/config files (Markdown, JSON, YAML).
• Balancing accuracy, latency, security, and user experience in complex products.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and executive communication.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the problem, user outcome, business value case, and evaluation strategy with a partner on production-scale work.
• Prototype and test agent behavior, prompts, tool flows, and context management.
• Define evaluation criteria, pass/fail rubrics, and measurable ROI across deployments.
• Navigate enterprise systems and policies to show working software in real environments.
