Job summary

WEX, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Product Manager Builder to join a forward-deployed Builder Pod. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with an AI Tech Builder and domain experts to turn manual, judgment-heavy workflows into governed, agent-assisted experiences.

This is a hands-on role: you will map workflows, prototype with AI tools and low-code platforms, define evaluation plans, and own the problem, outcomes, and business case while your Tech Builder handles architecture and scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of PM experience shipping software, data, platform, automation, or AI products to production at scale.
• Direct experience with generative AI, LLMs, retrieval/grounding (RAG), tool calling, context management, orchestration, structured outputs, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Proven experience building or running AI evaluations using golden datasets, quality rubrics, failure analysis, or model-based judges.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted dev tools, low-code frameworks, APIs, and version-controlled configuration files (Markdown, JSON, YAML).
• Skill in balancing accuracy, autonomy, latency, token/system cost, security, and user experience.
• Track record of driving alignment across cross-functional partners and communicating AI tradeoffs to executives.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
