Job summary

WEX, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Product Manager Builder to co-create governed, agent-assisted experiences with a dedicated Builder Pod.

You will map workflows, prototype end-to-end AI-enabled solutions, and define evaluation strategies in collaboration with AI Engineers and domain experts. As a hands-on builder, you will own problem framing, user outcomes, business value, and agent behavior while partnering with production engineering to ensure scalable, auditable deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Product Management experience shipping software, data, platform, automation, or AI products to production at scale.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, retrieval/grounding (RAG), tool calling, context management, orchestration, structured outputs, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Evaluation discipline: building or running AI evaluations using golden datasets, quality rubrics, failure analysis, or model-based judges.
• Prototyping & technical literacy: using AI-assisted dev tools, low-code frameworks, APIs, and version-controlled configuration files (Markdown, JSON, YAML).
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional partners (Engineers, Risk, Legal, Operations).

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with operators, customers, and domain experts to map current-state workflows, friction, and failure demand.
• Define future-state experiences, set baseline metrics, and select high-value slices to test feasibility and trust.
• Rapidly build and test agent behavior, prompts, tool flows, retrieval/grounding, and multi-agent or human-in-the-loop orchestrations.
• Establish pass/fail criteria, assertions, and scoring rubrics to drive product decisions with evidence.
