Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead the development of an autonomous, AI-driven platform powering agents. You will merge data science expertise with platform thinking to scale a distributed system that enables reasoning, memory, and tool use at runtime.

You will drive product and data science strategy, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and ensure the platform is performant, extensible, and production-ready in a hybrid cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software/platform engineering or data science.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles overseeing AI-driven initiatives.
• Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform, ensuring architectural scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, data science, research, and engineering teams to define capabilities like memory, planning, and multi-agent collaboration.
• Drive design and implementation of core platform services including API gateways and vector store integrations.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and data science services to enable scalable agent execution.
• Guide best practices in cloud-native development, observability, and security.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of backend engineers and data scientists.
• Ensure alignment between platform capabilities and evolving AI product needs.
• Promote technical excellence through code reviews and reliability practices.
• Contribute to long-term vision of autonomous, data-science-powered software across the organization.
