Teradata is seeking a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead the development of a next‑generation platform powering autonomous, AI‑driven agents. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists and collaborate with AI/ML research and product teams to ensure the platform is performant and production-ready.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in software or data science with 3+ years in leadership, experience scaling distributed systems, and hands-on AI/ML tooling.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science, with 3+ years in engineering management.
• Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms in production.
• Strong backend development, APIs, infrastructure, or platform architecture background.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM integrations, and data science pipelines.
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, feature stores, and end-to-end data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Define requirements for predictive modeling, memory, planning, multi-agent collaboration, and tool orchestration.
• Drive design and implementation of core platform services including API gateways, vector stores, RAG pipelines, and experimentation frameworks.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and internal data science services at scale.
• Guide cloud-native development, distributed computing, observability, and security practices.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing team of backend engineers and data scientists.
• Ensure alignment between platform capabilities and evolving AI product needs.
• Drive code and design reviews and cross-functional collaboration across engineering functions.
• Shape the long-term vision for agentic workflows powered by data science and ML.
