Job summary

Teradata is hiring a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead development of a next-generation platform powering autonomous, AI-driven agents. You will blend data science expertise with deep platform thinking to scale a distributed system that enables reasoning, memory, and tool use at runtime.

You will drive product and data science strategy, supervise engineers and scientists, and ensure the AI Platform is performant, extensible, and ready for production.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms in production.
• Strong backend, APIs, infrastructure, or platform-architecture skills.
• Hands-on with AI/ML platforms, LLMs, and data-science pipelines.
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, feature stores.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and project management.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.
• Passion for autonomous AI-powered platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Platform roadmap with scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with product, data science, research, and engineering teams.
• Design core services: API gateways, vector stores, RAG pipelines.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and internal services.
• Guide cloud-native practices, observability, and security.
• Mentor and grow backend engineers and data scientists.
• Align platform capabilities with evolving AI product needs.
• Drive technical excellence through reviews and reliability practices.
• Contribute to long-term strategy of agentic workflows.
