Job summary

Teradata seeks a Senior Manager for the AI Platform to lead the next-generation platform powering autonomous AI-driven agents. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists, shape product and data science strategy, and ensure production-ready, high-performance systems.

You will collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams to define capabilities such as memory, planning, multi-agent collaboration, and tool orchestration, driving architectural scalability

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership overseeing AI initiatives.
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Strong backend, APIs, infrastructure, or platform architecture background.
• Hands-on with AI/ML platforms, LLM integrations, and data science pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform with scalable architecture.
• Define requirements for capabilities like predictive modeling, memory, and tool orchestration.
• Design and implement core platform services including API gateways and vector store integrations.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and data science services at scale.
• Guide cloud-native development, observability, and security practices.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing team of engineers and data scientists.
• Align platform capabilities with evolving AI product needs across the organization.
• Drive code/design reviews and reliability practices across engineering teams.
• Shape long-term strategy for agentic workflows powered by data science.
