Teradata seeks a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead the development of a next-generation platform powering autonomous, AI-driven agents. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists, align with AI/ML research and product teams, and ensure a production-ready, scalable platform.

The role emphasizes data science expertise, agentic platform thinking, and strategic execution to scale reasoning, memory, and tool use at runtime.

Competenze

• 12+ years of experience in software/platform engineering or data science, with 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership overseeing AI initiatives.
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms in production.
• Strong background in backend development, APIs, infrastructure, or platform architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM integrations, and data science deployment workflows.

Mansioni

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform, ensuring scalability and integration with LLMs and data pipelines.
• Partner with product, data science, research, and engineering teams to define capabilities like predictive modeling, memory, planning, multi-agent collaboration, and tool orchestration.
• Design and implement core platform services including API gateways, vector store integrations, RAG pipelines, and data science experimentation frameworks.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and internal services to enable scalable agent execution and model deployment.
• Guide the team in cloud-native development, distributed computing, observability, and security best practices.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing backend/DS team.
• Ensure alignment between platform capabilities and evolving AI product needs across applications.
• Drive technical excellence through reviews, reliability practices, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Contribute to long-term vision of agentic workflows powered by data science and ML across the org.
