Job summary

Rhombus Power, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement innovative software solutions, collaborating across departments to bring our AI-driven platform to life.

You will work closely with the product team to translate user needs into scalable backend and frontend components, while engaging with clients and leading training sessions to refine the platform. The role emphasizes a startup culture, strong technical fluency, and the ability to switch between individual contributor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development with a focus on Node.js.
• Strong system design skills for scalable, high-performance software.
• Expertise in PHP (Backend), MySQL, and relational database design.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, Git, SVN, and Linux command line.
• Experience with MVC design patterns, preferably CodeIgniter (CI).
• Awareness of product constraints, scalability, and security principles.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend design and development of product’s backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend to design APIs/GraphQL and improve quality/productivity.
• Lead code reviews and draft technical documentation.
• Define SDLC standards and promote best practices.
• Design frontend components using React for web applications.
• Develop backend components using Node.js for scalable code.
• Work with UX/UI to deliver user-friendly web/mobile interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices.
