Job summary

Rhombus Power, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement data platforms and pipelines supporting national security projects.

You will work across the analytics pipeline, ingesting data, building ETL processes, and integrating with dashboards and ML workflows. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, client site travel, and a strong emphasis on data governance, quality, and scalable data architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a data-related field or equivalent experience; 1+ year professional exp or Master’s with strong project work
• Experience with Python, Pandas, and Numpy; other languages include Shell, Perl, Java, C/C++/C#, Scala
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, and/or file-based storage (MySQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, HBase, DynamoDB)
• Experience building and maintaining ETL data pipelines
• Experience with software development lifecycle including testing, documentation, delivery and support
• Working knowledge of AWS/cloud technologies
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, etc.)
• United States Citizenship is a strict minimum requirement. Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop code to automate data ingestion and improve data management processes
• Architect data repositories, stand up data platforms and develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and aggregation
• Review architecture and data strategy; improve data governance and metadata management
• Extract and analyze raw data from multiple data sources via APIs, SQL Stored Procedures, or Python scripts
• Develop scripts to convert data into usable formats and support scaling, monitoring and operation of data platforms
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, engineers, and developers in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Manage assessment, design, build and maintenance of scalable platforms for client projects
• Communicate project status and results to leadership
