Rhombus Power, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement innovative software solutions, collaborating across teams to bring product vision to life. You will work with product to understand user needs and translate them into robust software, while engaging clients in training and feedback sessions.

The role emphasizes a start-up culture, high autonomy, and a focus on scalable, secure systems for defense and national security applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in science, engineering, or related field; PhD desirable.
• 5+ years in full-stack development with focus on Node.js.
• Strong system design for scalable, high-performance software.
• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, relational DB design.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, Git/SVN, Linux.
• Experience with MVC patterns, ideally CodeIgniter; CI framework knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend design and development of product systems with stable, high-performance software.
• Collaborate with frontend to design APIs or GraphQL; implement automated tests and improve productivity.
• Lead code reviews and prepare technical documentation; ensure speed and accuracy.
• Define SDLC standards and guide the team to avoid pitfalls and inefficiencies.
• Design frontend components with React for web apps; develop backend with Node.js.
• Collaborate with UX/UI to deliver user-friendly interfaces; write clean, scalable code.
• Implement CI/CD and automated testing practices.
