Job summary

Strategic Alliance Consulting Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, deploy, and operate production AI capabilities for NGA within a new Digital Ecosystem program.

You will develop reusable services, agent harnesses, and pipelines that support LLMs across enterprise workflows and mission-critical systems. You will work with platform engineers, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and mission teams to turn emerging AI technologies into secure, reliable capabilities

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of combined relevant technical experience in software engineering, AI, data, cloud, or platform engineering; at least 5 years in AI/ML.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and supporting production AI-enabled applications or services.
• Experience developing LLM-enabled applications using model APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt and context engineering.
• Experience implementing agent-based workflows or AI application harnesses, including orchestration and controls over agent actions.
• Strong proficiency with Python, APIs, version control, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Experience implementing repeatable AI evaluations and monitoring production behavior.
• Understanding of AI cybersecurity and governance practices, including data protection and auditability.
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems, data sources, or operational feeds via secure APIs or event-driven interfaces.
• Ability to translate customer and mission needs into technical designs and working software.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across AI applications, integrations, and platform services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with data, platform, cybersecurity, architecture, and mission teams.

Responsibilities

• AI Platform Development: Design and implement reusable AI services, APIs, components, and reference architectures.
• LLM Integration and Engineering: Build LLM-enabled capabilities using model APIs and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Agent Harnesses and Workflows: Develop agent harnesses that manage model interactions, context, memory, and tool access.
• Production Deployment and Operations: Build automated testing and deployment pipelines; manage versioning and monitoring.
• AI Evaluation and Observability: Develop evaluation datasets and automated tests; instrument services for tracing.
• AI Governance and Cybersecurity: Implement controls for approved models and data handling; address prompt injection risks.
• Enterprise Architecture Digital Twin: Build digital twin linking UAF and SysML with enterprise services.
• Real-Time Model Integration: Create interfaces linking real-time data with model elements; ensure provenance and oversight.
• AI-Enabled Insights and Visualizations: Develop dashboards and interfaces translating AI findings into actionable insights.
• Data and Knowledge Integration: Connect AI services with approved data sources; implement metadata and provenance.
• Digital Ecosystem Integration: Connect AI services with engineering, MBSE, modeling, and mission workflows via governed APIs.
• Technical Collaboration: Contribute code, reviews, and documentation; help prioritize use cases and transition prototypes to production.
