Job summary

Wonder is building a mealtime platform that integrates AI-enabled development tools across its engineering org. This Senior Software Engineer will help stand up the AI Velocity team, designing context aggregation, MCPs/CLIs, and sub-agents to connect AI tooling with Wonder's codebases and systems.

You will partner with platform, infrastructure, and application teams to ship AI-assisted workflows for code generation, review, testing, and documentation, guiding adoption and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on work with LLM-based tooling (agents, MCP servers, coding assistants).
• Direct experience integrating AI tools into real development workflows beyond end users (code review, testing, code generation, or documentation).
• Strong system design skills with end-to-end ownership of tools or platforms.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity in a new team without established playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship AI-native developer tooling, including context aggregation, MCPs/CLIs, and sub-agents.
• Bring outside AI tooling patterns and translate them into standards for Wonder's stack.
• Contribute to pre-review and triage tooling to automate mechanical and policy issues.
• Instrument tooling to optimize AI costs and improve developer velocity across teams.
• Scope, design, and ship developer tooling with minimal oversight and cross-team collaboration.
• Write clear specs and documentation and solicit cross-team feedback.
