Job summary

Cogent Infotech is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for a hybrid role in Fairfax, VA. The role will lead engineering for an agentic AI derivation and deployment platform, including curation of agent workflows and automated provisioning in Azure Foundry.

You will define enterprise patterns for AI lifecycle management, oversee security controls and policy enforcement, and collaborate with governance teams on model evaluation, cost, and risk trade-offs while guiding adoption of AI tools and platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years software/cloud engineering experience.
• 2+ years delivering AI/ML-enabled solutions.
• Experience as full stack developer with focus on AI.
• Production-grade cloud solutions on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering for an agentic AI derivation and deployment platform.
• Curation of agent workflows and provisioning in Azure Foundry.
• Define enterprise patterns for AI lifecycle management.
• Security controls and policy enforcement.
• Operational observability.
• Model evaluation and recommendation with governance.
• AI credit management: forecasting and usage analytics.
• Build and govern automation frameworks.
• Integration strategy for APIs, Microsoft 365 Copilot, SharePoint, Teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive delivery excellence.
• Azure Foundry infrastructure posture and security hardening.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and create adoption roadmaps.
