Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build NeMo Helix—NVIDIA’s platform for developing, evaluating, deploying, and operating AI systems at scale. You will join the Core team responsible for a plug-in based, open-source platform to run and optimize Agents across local, Kubernetes, Slurm, and other compute backends.

You will provide senior technical leadership, design flexible agent execution systems, and help extend our Core Platform APIs and plugin architecture.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or equivalent in CS/CE or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong system design and reliability focus.
• Experience with distributed systems and container orchestration (K8s).
• Proficient in Python, API design, typing, testing, and performance analysis.
• Experience designing developer-facing interfaces (SDKs, libraries, CLIs).
• Ability to work independently and drive cross-team initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and technical reviews for NeMo Helix components.
• Design flexible agent execution systems supporting multi-environment backends.
• Provide senior technical leadership through mentoring and cross-component problem solving.
• Develop and maintain Core Platform APIs for jobs, data, entities, secrets, RBAC and auth.
• Extend plugin architecture to enable external teams to integrate capabilities.
