Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance NeMo Helix, an open source plugin-based AI platform for running and optimizing agents at scale. You will help design a flexible agent execution framework, lead architecture discussions, and own Core Platform APIs used for jobs, data, and security.

The role emphasizes strong system design, Python expertise, and experience with distributed systems and cloud-native services.

Qualifications

BS, MS, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
Strong communication in a fast, ambiguous environment.
Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native services, containers, Kubernetes, and orchestration.
Proficiency in Python, API design, typing, testing, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

Design and lead an Agentic Execution system across environments (local, k8s, Slurm, on prem).
Provide senior technical leadership via design and code reviews, mentoring, and cross-team ownership.
Build and maintain Core Platform APIs for jobs, data, entities, secrets, RBAC, and auth.
Extend a flexible plugin architecture for external teams and OSS collaboration.
Improve reliability, observability, and performance across NeMo Helix components.
