Job summary

EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to own the stateful backbone of EY’s AI-native platform across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped environments. You’ll manage relational, vector, graph stores, and streaming pipelines, ensuring durability, consistency, and recoverability in regulated client contexts.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in production data infrastructure, deep experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, vector/graph databases, Kafka/NATS, and Kubernetes, and can operate across multi-tenant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related technical field.
• 8+ years operating production data infrastructure, streaming systems, or database platforms at scale.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL and Redis, including HA, replication, and backup/recovery.
• Exposure to embeddings, feature/state stores for AI workloads.
• Experience with vector/graph databases (Qdrant, Milvus, PGVector, Neo4j) in AI contexts.
• Strong experience with Kafka/NATS and Debezium for CDC.
• Familiarity with Flink and CloudEvents/schema governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the memory and data stores across environments (relational, vector, graph, object storage).
• Own event streaming and async messaging (Kafka, NATS, Debezium, Flink).
• Ensure data durability, consistency, and recoverability with cross-environment movement.
• Build and operate streaming and CDC pipelines with schema governance.
• Make state multi-tenant and portable with isolation and performance guarantees.
• Provide data and lineage substrate for governance and AI knowledge capabilities.
