Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to own the stateful backbone of its AI-native platform, spanning relational, vector, graph, and object stores across cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments. You will manage durable workflows, event streaming, and CDC pipelines to ensure reliable, scalable data for agentic workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or a related field.
• 8+ years operating large-scale data infrastructure and streaming systems.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL and Redis, including HA and backup/recovery.
• Experience with vector/graph stores and AI data patterns.
• Proficient in Kafka, NATS, Debezium, Flink, and schema governance.
• Ability to run stateful systems on Kubernetes with persistent storage.

Responsibilities

• Own memory and data stores across environments and tenants.
• Own streaming, async messaging, and change-data-capture pipelines.
• Ensure durability, consistency, and recoverability across platforms.
• Build portable multi-tenant state with clear ownership and contracts.
• Provide data lineage and governance substrate for downstream use.
• Collaborate to reduce toil via automation and infra-as-code.
