Job summary
Capital One is seeking a Sr. Staff AI Engineer for a remote-eligible role to help build responsible and scalable AI systems. You will work with engineers, scientists, PMs, and product managers to deploy AI components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, and multi-agent workflows.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with extensive AI/ML experience.
- At least 10 years of experience coding in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products affecting workflows and customer interactions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including model training, inference, and governance.
- Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies and optimize performance, cost, and latency.
- Lead architectural vision for foundational AI systems and enterprise-wide governance standards.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence stakeholders up to SVP level.
