Parts Town seeks a Senior AI Platform Architect to own the architecture, standards, and technical direction of our enterprise AI ecosystem. You will design AI agents, RAG solutions, and workflows, partnering across data, security, and business teams.

This senior IC role offers a path to platform leadership as the AI function grows. The ideal candidate blends enterprise architecture with hands-on AI solution delivery using MCP, function calling, tool orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years in enterprise architecture, software engineering, or platform engineering at scale.
• Experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade AI solutions and agent ecosystems.
• Deep expertise in agentic AI, MCP, function calling, tool orchestration, and context management.
• Strong knowledge of RAG, LLMs/SLMs, semantic search, AI evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Proficient in Python, Java, and TypeScript; experienced with modern development stacks like React, Rails, Spring.
• Experience delivering microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Cloud architecture expertise with CI/CD, IaC, and observability best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise AI platform architecture, standards, and guardrails.
• Establish reference architectures, tooling, and reusable patterns for agents and orchestration.
• Evaluate and guide adoption of new AI technologies with governance considerations.
• Translate business needs into production-ready AI solutions including agents, RAG, and workflows.
• Design agent capabilities using function calling, MCP, memory, grounding, and orchestration.
• Lead hands-on delivery from proof of concept to deployment and operation.
• Architect integrations between AI platforms, enterprise apps, and collaboration tools.
• Ensure secure APIs, data quality, and governed data across systems.
• Define governance, security, and lifecycle controls for models and agents.
• Monitor platform health, adoption, and value with metrics and dashboards.
• Serve as senior escalation point for AI platform and integrations.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineers and architects.
