Job summary

Parts Town is seeking a Senior AI Platform Architect to own the architecture, standards, and technical direction of our enterprise AI ecosystem. You will lead design and delivery of AI agents, RAG solutions, and AI-powered workflows while partnering with data, security, and application teams.

The role requires 8+ years in enterprise architecture or platform engineering, deep agentic AI expertise (MCP, function calling, tool orchestration), and strong cloud, security, and governance know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years shaping enterprise architecture or platform engineering at scale.
• Proven track record designing enterprise AI solutions and agent ecosystems.
• Deep expertise in agentic AI including MCP, function calling, tool orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of RAG, LLMs/SLMs, semantic search, AI evaluation, and responsible AI practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and TypeScript.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Cloud architecture with CI/CD, IaC, and observability best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise AI platform architecture, standards, and guardrails.
• Establish reference architectures, tooling, and reusable patterns for agents and orchestration.
• Evaluate new AI technologies and governance approaches.
• Document architectural decisions balancing innovation, cost, risk.
• Translate business needs into production AI solutions (agents, RAG, workflows).
• Design agentic capabilities using function calling, MCP, memory, grounding.
• Guide teams from PoC to deployment and operations.
• Ensure solutions follow platform and engineering standards.
• Architect integrations between AI platforms and enterprise systems.
• Govern AI governance frameworks including deployment controls and lifecycle mgmt.
• Lead platform reliability: monitoring, observability, incident response.
