Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Principal Software Architect to define architecture across AI-enabled platforms, spanning client apps, backend services, cloud workflows, and device integrations. You will translate complex requirements into actionable architecture and roadmaps, guiding teams through high-impact engineering challenges.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in software architecture, hands-on AI/ML experience, and a deep understanding of security, governance, and enterprise

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience designing and delivering complex software platforms.
• 5+ years in architecture, principal engineer, staff engineer, or equivalent roles.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and runtimes such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime.
• Experience defining architecture for Windows desktop applications and OS-integrated software.
• Strong understanding of security, privacy, compliance, audit logging, and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture for AI-enabled software platforms spanning client apps, backend services, cloud workflows, and devices.
• Lead architecture of AI/ML capabilities including generative AI, LLMs, and edge AI execution.
• Produce architecture artifacts such as diagrams, decision records, roadmaps, and governance plans.
• Guide senior engineers and tech leads, elevating architecture quality and software lifecycle practices.
• Communicate technical strategy and trade-offs to executives and cross-functional teams.
