Vizient in Irving, Texas seeks an Associate Principal for AI Optimization & Delivery – Solution Architecture to act as the technical cornerstone, delivering blueprints for agentic components and guiding the sandbox‑to‑production graduation process. You will partner with AI leadership, Enterprise Architecture, and delivery pods to integrate Vizient’s AI stack across engineering teams.

The role blends hands‑on design with systems‑level thinking.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture, platform architecture, or AI/ML systems.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience delivering LLM orchestration in production.
• Experience with data privacy and security boundaries in healthcare (PHI/PII).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to document architectural decisions.
• Ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into secure, scalable platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural standards for LLM-enabled workflows and multi-agent orchestration.
• Define hybrid system patterns balancing LLM judgment with deterministic code for compliance.
• Architect the platform component layer including shared libraries, templates, and RAG pipelines.
• Define AIBOM approach with model provenance tracking and governance.
• Establish observability standards for telemetry, reasoning traceability, and auditability.
• Lead evaluations of AI technologies and document architectural rationale.
• Partner with Security, Clinical, Data, and Product teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
• Present architecture positions and recommendations to AI leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain a library of reference architectures and technical standards for distributed teams.
