WEX is seeking a Sr. Staff AI Platform Engineer to architect and build a high-performance foundations for enterprise AI workflows. You will lead the Context Layer, enabling low-latency data access for vector databases and LLM-driven apps across multi-cloud environments.

The role focuses on platform engineering, real-time data orchestration, and automated metadata evolution. You will drive CI/CD quality, design HITL triggers, and establish standardized interfaces for agentic operations across

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with distributed systems focus.
• Expert in building extensible frameworks, high-throughput APIs, and libraries.
• Experience with platform engineering and AI-native CI/CD features.
• Knowledge of agentic development trends and interoperability standards.

Responsibilities

• Define and own 3–5 year technical roadmap for AI-ready Data Lakehouse.
• Prototype and benchmark agentic patterns like Multi-Agent Orchestration.
• Lead architecture reviews and resolve complex bottlenecks.
• Design platform interfaces for Agentic workflows and HITL triggers.
• Build Context Fabric enabling secure data discovery for AI agents.
