TEKsystems is seeking a Senior AI Context Engineer to build data foundations powering enterprise AI. You will transform structured and unstructured content, including policy docs, benefit materials, and clinical records, into high-quality AI context.

Role blends software engineering, applied AI, and data architecture with a focus on RAG, vector retrieval, and semantic search. This remote position offers comprehensive benefits and aligns with HIPAA/HITRUST compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend software engineering, applied ML/search, or data-centric app development.
• Hands-on experience optimizing AI and RAG architectures, prompt context strategies, and vector retrieval.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; familiar with Airflow, Prefect, Temporal.
• Experience parsing unstructured content using LlamaIndex, Unstructured.io, LangChain loaders.
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search platforms.

Responsabilités

• Extraction & Chunking: convert PDFs, clinical notes, and policy docs into contextual units for LLMs.
• Semantic Search & Reranking: implement hybrid search and reranking to boost precision.
• Agentic Context Services: design payloads and metadata for MCP servers and LLM tools.
• Index Design & Optimization: implement vector indexing and embedding schemes in enterprise stores.
• Vector Metadata: design tagging for precise filtering and hybrid search.
• Retrieval Evaluation & Groundedness: automate evaluation of relevance and embedding drift.
• Healthcare Context Compliance: ensure HIPAA/HITRUST, masking PHI data.
• Context-Level Access Control: RBAC within vector metadata for authorized snippet access.
• Auditing & Handoff Lineage: maintain context tracking and audit logs for prototypes.
• Reference Pattern Alignment & Product Support: align with Sr. AI Solutions Architect, support AI features.
