Job summary

EY is seeking a senior AI platform architect to shape a scalable platform across cloud and hybrid environments. You will define the reference architecture, roadmap, and non-functional standards while running the platform as a product with clear service tiers and adoption metrics.

You will enable portable model access, design elastic foundations for AI workloads, and automate production delivery with secure agent runtimes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial cloud, infrastructure, SRE, or platform capability experience including production AI workloads.
• Platform delivery with a shared platform adopted by multiple product teams.
• Cloud architecture with portable hybrid/multi-cloud patterns.
• Hands-on engineering in orchestration, networking, IaC, APIs, observability.
• AI operations including release controls, evaluation, capacity, service objectives, incident learning.
• Strong architecture judgment for build-versus-buy decisions and trade-offs.
• Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influence.
• Up to 50% travel and hybrid office presence required.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform direction: vision, reference architecture, roadmap, non-functional standards across cloud, hybrid, edge.
• Run the platform as a product: define service tiers, adoption metrics, and value delivery.
• Enable portable model access with gateways and stable contracts.
• Architect elastic foundations for AI workloads balancing performance, cost, and resilience.
• Automate production delivery with repeatable patterns, progressive release, and evidence.
• Define trusted agent runtimes for secure execution and replayability.
• Improve platform reliability with service objectives, observability, and recovery patterns.
• Make economics visible by tying usage, performance, and quality signals to unit economics.
• Guide build-versus-buy and portability decisions across functions.
• Mentor platform engineers and strengthen architecture practices.
