Job summary

EY’s Advanced Forward Engineering team embeds with clients to design, build, and deliver AI-native systems in highly regulated environments such as tax, finance, and risk. You will own end-to-end delivery, write production-grade code, and collaborate with platform, security, and governance partners.

The role combines hands-on engineering with delivery ownership, operating at the edge of the enterprise to ensure solutions are deployable and auditable in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software systems in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive applications.
• Practical experience with modern AI application stacks (LLM-backed systems, agentic workflows).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code under compliance, performance, and reliability constraints.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths within regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery from shaping through deployment and sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows and integrations using platform capabilities.
• Write production-quality code aligned with enterprise standards.
• Balance functionality, safety, cost, and timelines with clear stakeholder explanations.
• Ensure solutions meet security, AI integrity, and FinOps constraints.
