Job summary

EY’s Office of the CTO is seeking senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering (AFE) team to design, build, and deliver AI-native systems embedded with regulated client environments. The role combines end-to-end delivery ownership with hands-on engineering, serving as the primary technical authority for forward-deployed engagements.

AFE engineers work at the edge of the enterprise, embedding with clients while ensuring solutions are deployable, auditable, and trusted in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, data-intensive applications.
• Practical experience with modern AI application stacks (LLMs, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks).

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths under regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery outcomes from shaping to deployment and sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows and orchestrations using platform capabilities.
• Write production-grade code (LangGraph, Python) aligned with enterprise standards.
• Balance functionality, safety, cost, and timeline with clear stakeholder communication.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, AI integrity, and FinOps constraints.
• Capture field learnings to improve platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform, and architecture teams to enable repeatable delivery patterns.
