Job summary

Knit is the AI‑native consumer research platform powering brands to automate primary research. As an early NYC engineer, you’ll shape the core of our platform and own features from design through production.

You’ll architect multi‑agent workflows, craft React/Next.js interfaces, and build the experimentation platform with prompts, tests, and deployment. Collaborate with Product, AI, Design, and customers to ship high‑impact, reliable features.

Qualifications

• High‑ownership, product‑minded engineer with strong full‑stack fundamentals.
• Experience building AI‑native systems turning ambiguous problems into scalable features.
• Proficiency with LLM/agent systems, evals, and prompt tooling.
• Knowledge of event‑driven architectures, observability, and security/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own 0→1 and 1→N features across the stack from design to deployment.
• Architect and own the core agent orchestration engine for multi‑agent workflows.
• Build AI‑native UIs using React/Next.js for safe human‑in‑the‑loop collaboration.
• Develop the experimentation platform: prompts, evals, CI/CD, drift detection.
• Ship fast with reliability: tests, dashboards, and monitoring.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, AI, Design, CS and customers.
• Optimize latency and infrastructure efficiency (cache, distillation, vector search).
• On‑call ownership and incident response; drive blameless postmortems.
