Job summary

EY’s Office of the CTO seeks senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering team. You will own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems embedded with clients in regulated environments, ensuring solutions are deployable, auditable, and trusted in production.

You’ll write production-grade code, collaborate with platform and governance teams, and balance tradeoffs between functionality, cost, and safety while navigating real-world constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software systems in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive applications.
• Practical experience with modern AI stacks (LLM-backed systems, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code in environments with compliance, performance and reliability constraints.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths under regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery outcomes from shaping to deployment and sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows and integrations using platform capabilities.
• Write and review production-grade code (e.g., LangGraph, Python, orchestration glue).
• Balance functionality, safety, cost, and timelines; explain decisions to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance constraints; work with control authorities.
• Capture field learnings and contribute feedback to platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform, and architecture teams to reduce rework.
