Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff AI-Native DevOps Engineer to own build, deployment, and reliability of Otto’s backend systems. You’ll manage CI/CD, release automation, Kubernetes-based infrastructure, observability, and tooling across SaaS environments, coordinating with scientists and engineers to ensure secure, scalable, and measurable delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related experience.
• 6+ years deploying and operating containerized applications in production.
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash, with production-grade automation experience.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools in software workflows.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic AI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, scale, and operate distributed microservices in production Kubernetes environments.
• Design infrastructure automation using IaC and Kubernetes-native tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Operators).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, ArgoCD).
• Implement observability, monitoring, and incident response, with root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure for security, scalability, cost efficiency, and simplicity.
