Job summary

ServiceNow in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a Staff AI-Native DevOps Engineer to own the build, deployment, and reliability of the systems behind ServiceNow Otto, our conversational AI platform, from commit through production across our SaaS environments.

You will partner with applied scientists and software engineers to make AI-native delivery repeatable, measurable, and secure, tackling CI/CD, Kubernetes infrastructure, observability, and tooling that supports agent orchestration and MCP/A2A

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software or infra engineering experience.
• 4+ years with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
• 6+ years deploying containerized services in production.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash for automation.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools in workflows.
• Knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic concepts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, scale, and operate distributed microservices in production Kubernetes environments.
• Design infrastructure automation using IaC and Kubernetes-native tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, ArgoCD).
• Implement observability and incident response to improve availability and resilience.
• Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure for security, cost, and scalability.
