Job summary

Juniper Square is hiring Senior Software Engineers to join our AI-native engineering team. You will design, build, and operate production AI systems, including platform capabilities, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered features for institutional clients.

This is a hands-on IC role for experts in AI-native development and backend systems. You’ll work across design reviews, debugging, and incident response while advancing scalable, reliable backend services and observability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Backend engineering with Python frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems in production.
• Relational/NoSQL databases, schema design, queries, data modeling.
• Cloud-native tech (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes); CI/CD and observability.
• Strong ownership, clear communication, and pragmatic problem solving.
• Hands-on experience with AI-native development tools and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production backend services, APIs, and AI platform components used across teams.
• Integrate LLM-powered systems (RAG pipelines, AI SDKs, evaluation workflows) with observability.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operational quality of AI systems.
• Create internal tools, automation, and docs to boost developer productivity and AI capabilities.
• Participate in code/design reviews, debugging, incident response, and production support.
• Collaborate with product/design/engineering to translate needs into solid technical solutions.
