AssemblyAI is hiring for a Technical Recruiter to build and scale our recruiting for ML researchers, researchers engineers, and ML/infrastructure roles in the United States. You will own full-cycle recruiting, run outbound pipelines, and partner with researchers to design interview loops.

The role emphasizes equity-heavy closes, strong sourcing networks, and delivering high-quality candidate experiences while growing with a fast-paced, meritocratic team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience hiring ML researchers, research engineers, or ML/infrastructure engineers
• Strong outbound sourcing ability and network in ML/AI research community
• Experience closing senior candidates with equity-heavy packages
• Comfort with modern AI sourcing tools and recruiting dashboards

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for Research and senior Engineering roles, from intake through offer and close
• Build outbound-first pipelines by mapping talent at frontier labs, speech and audio teams, and academic groups
• Partner with research and engineering leaders to define profiles and interview loops
• Run thoughtful screens with technical candidates and provide evidence-based reads to hiring managers
• Lead complex closes with competing offers and equity discussions in partnership with People team
• Build long-term relationships with passive candidates
• Use data and AI tooling to source more efficiently and report funnel health
• Help the team scale through interviewer training and candidate experience improvements
