Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a senior AI/ML scientist to identify, research, and develop predictive, prescriptive, and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions that translate structured and unstructured data into sound organizational decisions.

You will combine statistical expertise, programming skills, and data science knowledge to create impactful self-learning applications and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AI technologies into real-world systems and solutions to achieve business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree
• 5+ years of experience in related field. In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of large and/or complex ML/DL/GenAI systems with self-learning capabilities
• Design, implement, and evaluate AI systems for production environments
• Apply prescriptive analytics techniques such as optimization, recommendation systems, and RL
• Lead development and testing of ML algorithms, run experiments, analyze data, and optimize performance
• Stay updated with AI/ML and GenAI advancements and adapt methods
• Benchmark against existing ML methods and identify areas for improvement
• Develop prototypes and PoC implementations to demonstrate AI feasibility
• Lead consultations with business partners to distill needs and provide technical guidance
• Drive continuous improvement by experimenting with novel techniques and refining models
• Leverage software engineering principles in building sophisticated ML models
• Identify actionable insights and communicate results to cross functional groups
