Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a senior AI/ML scientist to identify, research, and develop predictive, prescriptive, and Generative AI solutions that translate data into sound business decisions. You will lead complex ML systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy AI in production environments.

You will apply advanced analytics techniques, benchmark methods, and develop prototypes to demonstrate potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of ML/DL/GenAI systems with self-learning capabilities.
• Design, implement, and evaluate AI systems for production use.
• Apply prescriptive analytics techniques to business problems.
• Lead development and testing of ML algorithms and experiments.
• Stay updated with AI advancements and adapt methods to business needs.
• Benchmark against existing ML methods and identify improvements.
• Develop prototypes and PoCs to demonstrate AI feasibility.
• Lead consultations with business partners to align AI approaches with goals.
• Drive continuous improvement by experimenting with novel techniques.
• Leverage software engineering principles in ML systems.
• Identify insights and communicate results to cross-functional groups.
