Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior AI/ML Scientist to identify and develop innovative AI/ML solutions that translate complex data into strategic decisions. You will own the delivery of sophisticated ML and Generative AI systems that adapt and evolve, work closely with various teams to integrate these technologies, and drive business improvements through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in the field and can effectively communicate insights to influence strategic direction. A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required, while significant relevant experience can be considered in lieu.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of complex machine learning and AI systems.
• Design, implement, and evaluate AI systems for production.
• Apply prescriptive analytics techniques to business problems.
• Lead development and testing of machine learning algorithms.
• Stay updated with advancements in AI and machine learning.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations.
• Consult with business partners to meet predictive AI needs.
