Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Corporate AI and ML Data Platforms team. You will build and enhance platform capabilities across the machine learning lifecycle, spanning model operations, data development, and governance tooling.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and researchers to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly services that help move ideas to production with confidence, enabling scalable model

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience with modern architectures (microservices, reactive, event-driven).
• Experience delivering LLM-powered solutions including prompt design and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance platform capabilities for model registries and governance tooling.
• Design data preparation, annotation workflows, lineage, and auditability services.
• Develop cloud-native microservices and APIs to support scalable model delivery and operations.
• Create LLM-powered capabilities for grounding, reliability, and retrieval.
• Produce architecture artifacts and ensure performance, resiliency, and security.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and validate outputs via reviews, testing, security practices.
• Analyze telemetry and user feedback; build reporting and metrics for continuous improvement.
• Identify issues in systems and data; improve code health and observability.
