Job summary

United Network for Organ Sharing seeks a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design and operate the Azure-based AI infrastructure, enabling production-grade AI workloads and agentic workflows across the organization. This role emphasizes secure, auditable systems handling PHI with scalable patterns for teams to adopt.

You will implement model deployments, governance, and integration into CI/CD, while shaping UNOS's AI strategy through reusable templates and reference implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience building and running production AI/ML infrastructure in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, FedRAMP or similar controls and translating them to configurations.

Responsibilities

• Provision AI infrastructure on Azure as code including model deployments and GPU capacity.
• Stand up open-weight and frontier models on UNOS infrastructure.
• Develop policy and controls (least-privilege access, private endpoints, audit trails).
• Run shared model access with routing, quotas, and cost attribution.
• Build sandboxed environments for agents to run against real repositories.
• Define standard patterns for agentic development and templates.
• Integrate AI into CI/CD for PR reviews and security findings.
• Build and ship UNOS agents and tools within UNOS One products.
• Oversee transition from prototype to production with testing and monitoring.
• Mentor engineers in AI functions and share best practices.
