Job summary

Medallia, a leader in Experience Management, seeks a Senior AI/ML Engineer to drive the migration of the AI Platform to AWS GovCloud. You will architect and deploy cloud-native ML infrastructure and secure data pipelines for government and enterprise customers, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will lead the design of scalable, high-performance ML services, APIs, and pipelines while ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and security standards in a hybrid-onsite environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development in production with Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience deploying/operating services on Kubernetes in regulated environments.
• Experience with distributed systems: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Relational SQL experience including PostgreSQL.
• Experience with code quality practices and testing architectures on large codebases.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of AI/ML platform services to AWS GovCloud, ensuring compliance and performance.
• Design and implement cloud-native ML infrastructure on AWS (SageMaker, ECS, EKS, Lambda).
• Monitor and optimize deployed models and ML pipelines in GovCloud.
• Build secure data pipelines across national boundaries complying with FedRAMP.
• Collaborate with product/design to deliver AI features for customer experience.
• Architect scalable data processing solutions with high performance for clients.
• Design APIs to power front-end applications.
• Identify and automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, improve infrastructure scaling.
• Participate in on-call rotation to maintain availability of platforms.
