Capital Technology Group is seeking a Lead AI/ML Engineer to guide design, evaluation, and deployment of AI/ML solutions for federal initiatives. This role leads senior technical teams, mentors engineers, and partners directly with federal clients to drive enterprise adoption of emerging technologies in AWS cloud environments.

You will own production ML workflows, collaborate across security and operations, and present findings to leadership while shaping strategic AI roadmaps to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 7–10 years of professional software or cloud engineering experience.
• At least 3 years deploying production enterprise apps in AWS.
• At least 2 years deploying production AI/ML in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Hugging Face, Weights & Biases.
• Strong data analysis with pandas.
• Experience visualizing with matplotlib.
• Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Comfortable presenting solutions to clients and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluations of emerging AI/ML technologies through prototypes and experiments.
• Communicate benefits, tradeoffs, and risks to stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and deploy production‑ready AI/ML apps in AWS.
• Support AI/ML application development across development, operations, and security teams.
• Drive enterprise adoption of modern AI technologies and best practices.
• Build, train, evaluate, and optimize ML models for production use cases.
• Collaborate with clients and cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers and support professional growth.
• Present technical findings and architectural recommendations to leadership.
