Job summary

Lyra Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI/ML Platform Engineer to build machine learning and generative AI platforms used company-wide. You will design backend infrastructure for scalable, resilient systems and deliver services exposing AI-based products.

The role requires 6+ years on production-grade projects, strong Python and FastAPI experience, and hands-on work with Docker, Kubernetes, and vector databases. Join a mission-driven team advancing mental health tech.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience delivering production-ready products.
• Ability to write high-quality code in Python.
• Experience with modern async Python web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI) and handling data streaming (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events).
• Experience working with Docker and deploying applications to Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational databases and low-latency systems.
• Experience building RAG-based AI solutions and vector databases.
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and integrating with foundation model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team building ML and generative AI platforms used across Lyra Health.
• Create backend infrastructure to enable scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions.
• Build services exposing ML/AI-based products.
• Deploy and manage applications in production.
• Code daily and mentor teammates as needed.
