Job summary

EY is recruiting for an AI Native Engineering Manager in the United States. You will lead cutting-edge data science and big data projects for power and utilities, collaborating with clients and diverse EY teams to deliver scalable AI solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will guide teams through design, development, and productionization of AI/ML systems, ensuring governance, security, and regulatory compliance while shaping innovative ways of working within EY’s hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
• 6–10 years of AI, data science, or machine learning experience.
• 2–4 years of experience directly managing technical teams.
• Strong Python skills.
• Experience designing production AI/ML on a major cloud platform.
• Proficiency with generative AI models and frameworks (OpenAI, DALL·E, Langchain, RAG).
• Experience with ML packages such as scikit-learn and PyTorch.
• Experience with NLP and deep learning.
• Extensive experience with DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps), Agile (Jira), and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams and manage processes and projects.
• Identify innovative solutions through research and analysis.
• Supervise teams to deliver complex technical initiatives and ensure performance.
• Engage with clients and lead sessions from planning to closure.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and manage engagement economics.
• Design and deliver AI/ML use cases for Power & Utilities (asset health, outage prediction, forecasting).
• Work with utility data sources (SCADA, AMI, GIS, EAM, OMS, CIS) and integrate into analytics platforms.
• Support moving AI solutions from pilots to production with regulatory and governance adherence.
