Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years building and deploying ML models in production.
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills.
• Experience pretraining, training, or fine-tuning transformer models on GPUs.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Spark/Snowflake/Databricks.
• Solid ML fundamentals, including representation learning and offline evaluation.
• Good engineering habits and ability to explain results clearly.
• Strong collaboration across engineering, product, and risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve transformer-based models on large-scale financial data.
• Produce reusable embeddings and model artifacts for downstream use.
• Design models that generalize across tasks and datasets.
• Work with data and infrastructure engineers on training pipelines and reproducible experiments.
• Collaborate with serving engineers to optimize for low-latency inference.
• Incorporate evaluation workflows with time-based testing and labeling considerations.
• Document interfaces and guidance for product teams.
• Balance model quality against compute cost and report business impact.
• Coordinate with risk/governance to ensure explainability and regulatory compliance.
