Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. seeks a Principal AI/ML Engineer to build and maintain large-scale ML infrastructure, data pipelines, and distributed systems using Spark, Kubernetes, and AWS services. You will lead design discussions, mentor engineers, and drive CI/CD adoption across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Expertise architecting scalable big data platforms using Spark and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and migrating platforms to AWS.
• Research background in AI/ML focusing on Reinforcement Learning and multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytics, ML platforms, and software enabling model training and optimization.
• Develops scalable distributed systems using open‑source tech and cloud services.
• Extends ML platforms for scalable model training and deployment.
• Partners with business and software teams to drive adoption of model outputs.
• Implements big data solutions and plans data architectures aligned with business needs.
• Builds data flow channels to ETL/ELT and integrates diverse data sources.
• Collaborates with system analysts to define performance requirements and interfaces.
• Develops testing, validation procedures, and documentation for software systems.
• Advises management on technical strategy and mentors junior staff.
