Job summary

FIS is seeking a data scientist to deploy data-driven analytics and AI solutions across risk, fraud, marketing, and portfolio management within financial services. You will convert results into actionable product recommendations and present them to stakeholders.

You'll lead the design, validation, deployment, and monitoring of advanced analytics and AI, leveraging NLP and GenAI techniques to solve complex business problems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying end-to-end machine learning, predictive analytics, and data science solutions in Payments/Banking/Financial Services.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Spark/PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with data wrangling, feature engineering, and model development using Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models in production or near-production environments.
• Proficiency with data visualization and BI tools (Tableau or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, deployment, and monitoring of analytics, ML, and AI solutions.
• Prepare data from standard and novel sources for modeling.
• Apply NLP and GenAI techniques to financial services problems.
• Design experiments, hypothesis tests, and statistical analyses to evaluate strategies.
• Promote best practices in data science, ML, feature engineering, and MLOps.
• Communicate findings through dashboards, visuals, and executive-ready presentations.
• Stay current on ML/AI trends in fintech and analytics.
