Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is hiring an AI/ML Engineer III to build and deploy machine learning models, run training workflows, and integrate AI into production systems. The role supports data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation in collaboration with product partners.

The position offers a flexible/hybrid schedule with three in-person days at core locations and two remote days. Core offices include Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL, and Quincy, MA.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in data science, CS, statistics or related field.
• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python, ML libraries, and model evaluation.
• Understanding of deep learning and generative AI fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy ML models using established architectures and frameworks.
• Support feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.
• Assist in developing automated ML training and monitoring pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and product partners to refine AI solution requirements.
• Research tools and methods to enhance model performance.
• May be called upon to support critical escalations and must be available during urgent IT incidents as needed.
