Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an AI/ML Engineer III to build ML models, train/evaluate, and integrate AI capabilities into production systems. This role focuses on developing, testing, and deploying ML solutions with collaboration across engineering and product teams.

The position supports feature engineering, data preprocessing, and automated training pipelines. Our flex/hybrid schedule requires 3 in-person days at Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL or Quincy, MA and 2 remote days.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python, ML libraries, and model evaluation techniques.
• Understanding of deep learning and generative AI fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop, test, and deploy ML models using established architectures and frameworks.
• Support feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.
• Assist in developing automated ML training and monitoring pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and product partners to refine AI solution requirements.
• Research tools and methods to enhance model performance.
• May be called upon to support critical escalations and must be available during urgent IT incidents as needed.
