Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an AI/ML Engineer III to design, train, and deploy machine learning models, and to integrate AI capabilities into production systems. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and product partners and requires a strong foundation in Python and ML libraries.

The position supports a flexible hybrid schedule with core assignments in Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL or Quincy, MA. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field; equivalent advanced experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python, ML libraries, and model evaluation techniques.
• Understanding of deep learning and generative AI fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy ML models using established architectures and frameworks.
• Support feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.
• Assist in developing automated ML training and monitoring pipelines.

Overview

The AI/ML Engineer III builds machine learning models, implements training and evaluation workflows, and supports integration of AI capabilities into production environments.

*Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office location for this role is Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL or Quincy, MA.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud ML platforms.

Salary Range: $125,040 - $187,560

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
